AFLA activities 28&29 May 2010, coinciding with the Review Conference of the ICC

To coincide with the first Review Conference of the International Criminal Court (ICC), Africa Legal Aid (AFLA) convened multiple forums on Africa and the ICC on 28 and 29th of May in Kampala, Uganda.
On 28th of May, the conference on ‘The Shores of Lake Victoria: Africa and the International Criminal Court (ICC)’ was a great success and addressed issues on the Agenda of the ICC Review Conference including the Definition of the Crime of Aggression, the Interface between Peace and International Justice, Gender Justice, and the big question: Is Africa a Participant or Target of International Justice?
At the close of the Conference, H.E. Adama Dieng launched a Special edition of the AFLA Quarterly, on the theme of the Conference. For information and subscription.
On 29th May, AFLA convened a viewing of The Reckoning with students and the youth. The film on the activities and challenges of the ICC came to live in an interactive debate with the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC), Luis Moreno-Ocampo.
